Family Church Anniversary 2009.
We were blessed to have so many people come from all over the Tipton circuit and beyond in order to the choir for this year's family church anniversary. The above photo was taken on the evening of 17 May 2009 prior to the 6.00pm service. There were some people who were only able to join us for the 10 May evening service. Also, some of the programme was repeated for the Tipton circuit service on 31 May at New Road and we were pleased that other people could join us for this as well. Rehearsals continue on a Tuesday night at 7.45pm and we will be involved in a Summer Praise worship service at The Methodist Centre, Dudley Port on Sunday 12 July 2009 at 6.00pm

MUSIC
......................................................................................................................

The programme that Martyn put together was a change from previous years as we wanted to move away from a choir performing to an audience to a genuine time of all-inclusive worship and the feeling is that we pulled it off! The music was chosen by Ian, Chris and Martyn (after a hearty breakfast at Morrisons). It can be quite challenging to create this kind of worship service as there is so much music in the various music books that it can be tricky to find pieces that are both new and that fit. In the end, we elected to go back to some of the songs that we had sung before, although there were some new ones thrown in.
