Prayer is communication between a Father and His children.  In one sense, that is all there is to it.  When prayer seems difficult, and we feel unworthy of asking the Almighty Creator God to answer our seemingly mundane requests, we would do well to remember that Fathers want to talk with their children; and most parents will tell you that the communication is much more important than the topic.
With God, however, prayer is not limited by words, but it is a touching of our spirit, with the Holy Spirit of God, that leads us into relationship with the Father.  This means that we don't need to put into words, but can simply open our heartfelt thoughts and emotions to our Father God.

If you would us to pray for someone you know, please send an e-mail to the address below. However, please have consideration for those you are asking to be prayed for. If you are certain they would be happy for the reason they require prayer to be published to a wider audience, please limit the information you provide to their name and either their home town or home church. After all, not everyone would like their medical history announced to the world! Remember, God already knows why they need to be prayed for so it doesn't matter if everyone else does or not.

Changes to the Lea Brook Prayer Chain

Due to spam e-mail coming into the prayer chain e-mail box (and therefore being automatically forwarded on) the auto forward system has been disabled. We are therefore trialling Twitter as a way of letting people know who needs praying for. If you already use Twitter, you can follow the prayer chain and add to it by either direct messaging or replying (@LeaBrookPrayer). They will then be ReTweeted so they appear opposite. If you are not a 'Twitterer', you can add the Twitter RSS feed (details opposite).

Get even more people praying.

If you are twittering into the prayer chain, you can make your tweet visible to more people by using the including #Pray4 in your message. Also, there is a prayer board on the BBC Radio 2 website as a part of Aled Jones' "Good Morning Sunday" radio programme. You may wish to post details of your prayer request so a wider audience can join the prayer request. Lea Brook Church is not reponsible for the content of this external website.
